Coach Paradise came to PHUHS in 2015 as a Varsity Assistant.  He was named JV Head Coach in 2017 and promoted to Varsity Head Coach in 2019.  He is entering his 11th year coaching basketball.  Prior to coaching at PHUHS, he served as the JV Head Coach and Varsity Assistant at Calvary Christian High School in Clearwater from 2008-2011.  He began his coaching career as an assistant at Mitchell High School in 2007.

Coach Paradise graduated from Florida Air Academy in 2001 where he was a member of their nationally ranked basketball program.  As a high school player, his teams went 60 - 4 and won the 2001 Class 3A State Championship.  The 2001 team became just the third team in FHSAA history to complete an undefeated season.

Coach Cashner is entering into his third year of coaching at PHU and his second year as the JV head coach.  He graduated from NCAA Division 3 affiliated Maranatha Baptist University in 2018 where he was a member of their basketball program.

Upon graduating, Coach Cashner moved to Palm Harbor to serve as the Youth Pastor at Berea Baptist Church.  He loves the game of basketball and hopes to instill that passion for the game and the life lessons learned from the game to the next generation.

Coach Poekert is a local coaching legend.  He has over 30 years of basketball coaching experience working as an assistant at Dunedin, Palm Harbor, and Countryside High Schools.   Coach Poekert has also served as JV Head Coach at Dunedin and Palm Harbor.  He has a winning record as a JV Coach including a 20 game winning streak at Dunedin, and a 33 game winning streak at Palm Harbor.  He is also the proud coach of the 2000-2001 JV team which is the only team in PHU history to go undefeated, finishing at 19-0.

Coach Poekert is a retired teacher of 35 years.  He is happily married to his wife Linda.   



Coach Linardos is entering his 5th year coaching basketball and his first year at PHUHS.  He has previously coached at Dunedin High School and Calvary Christian High School in Clearwater.  

Coach Linardos graduated from Calvary Christian in 2014.  At Calvary, he was a member of both the basketball and football teams.  He received an offer to play football at Southeastern University in Lakeland.  However, in 2015, he realized his true passion was basketball and chose to pursue coaching.
